The BASF is an organization run by a volunteer Board and committees to ensure that we maximize the scholarships that we can provide.
Black Academic Scholarship Fund (BASF) is a non-profit which was founded in 1991. the BASF exists to provide financial support, showcase talent and provide resources to students in the Black community. We believe that everyone in society benefits when we foster and nurture young potential.
To date the BASF has awarded 300 scholarships with funds donated by supporters as well as funds raised via fundraising activities.
Tax receipts are avaliable for donations over $20. The organization received its LEttters Patent dated March 14, 1996 with the Registered Charity No. 89440 6396 RR0001. This facilitates the provision of tax receipts to contributors.
